Business Internet AccessEvery business has different needs to meet when bringing the Internet into the office. Dialup Access On-demand dialup access over 56K Modem or ISDN (single channel) starts at $20/month, with discounts given for 3, 6, and 12-month terms. For faster connections, multilink PPP (MPPP) combines two modems or both ISDN channels to effectively double your connection speed and starts at $32.50/month. On demand access means that the Modem connects when outbound traffic is generated (i.e. an employee visits a web site or sends an email), but does not stay on 24 hours or when it has been idle for an extended period of time. Each account includes 10 email addresses and a free "subweb" on our website (i.e. www.amplex.net/mycompany). Of course, you can always add more email addresses or a unique internet domain (i.e. mycompany.com). Dedicated Dialup Access A dedicated Internet connection is necessary if you wish to provide access to office computers over a VPN or if you run your own web or mail server on location. Dedicated dialup also avoids the delay associated with dial-on-demand. We offer both business hours (8-5 x 5) and full time (24 x 7) dedicated dialup connections starting at $100/month. Frame Relay Dedicated Access Frame Relay technology provides an always-on, reliable high-speed connection to the Internet. The phone company runs a dedicated copper or fiber optic line connecting your office to Toledo's Frame Relay network (a city-wide digital network connecting phone companies, businesses, and ISP's). Because Frame Relay uses dedicated lines from the phone company, it is even more reliable than 56K Modems, ISDN, DSL, or Cable Modems. Pricing for Frame Relay starts at $120/month for data, but there are equipment and phone company connection costs on top of the data charges. Dedicated T1 Access A dedicated T1 connection between your office and our network gives you a high speed connection to the Internet that can support a large amount of traffic. T1 connectivity from Amplex is available starting at $750/month. As with Frame Relay, there are customer equipment costs and phone company connection charges in addition to our price. Virtual Private Networking Any of our dedicated connections can be used with VPN software & hardware to provide a secure connection between your office and employees at home, on the road, or at a branch location. VPNs allow secure connections over the public Internet so that confidential business data can be transmitted between distant locations in a cost-effective manner.
