Multiple Accounts in Outlook Express

These instructions assume that you have already set up an account in Outlook Express using these instructions.

From the 'File' menu, select 'Identities' and click on 'Manage Identities'.

The default identity that comes with Outlook Express is "Main Identity". Click "Properties" to change this name:

Which will bring up a box allowing you to change the name. You can set a password so that nobody else can accidentally open your profile, or to keep other people from easily reading mail that you have downloaded in the past:

When you are done typing in the name, click "OK". Then click "Add" to create the new identity:

After typing in the name for the new identity and optionally setting a password, you can click 'Close' to finish managing identities:

You will now have both profiles loaded on your computer. You can switch profiles by going to 'File' -> 'Switch Identity':

NOTE: When you switch to the new identity for the first time, it will ask you for account information (i.e. email address, server names, etc). Use the Outlook Express email setup guide to setup the account.
