The Grand Parade will be Saturday, July 3rd, at 12:00 noon.

Registration deadline is June 30, 2010.

Your business, group, or organization is invited to participate.
This is an excellent opportunity to promote your business or organization.

Any type of entry is welcome:
floats, vehicles, musical groups, bands, or any other type of imaginative entry.

All horses must be bagged or have a clean-up crew
and must be approved by the parade staff prior to the parade.

Volunteers to help with the parade are needed from 9:30 am until the end of parade.


JUDGING CRITERIA FOR FLOATS & VEHICLES

General (Overall Appearance) - 50 points
Special Effects (Animation, Music) - 10 points
Workmanship (Decorations, Skill) - 10 points
Appearance (Design, Color) - 10 points
Originality (Creativeness, Quality) - 10 points
Attendants (Costumes, Enthusiasm) - 10 points




JUDGING CRITERIA FOR BANDS & PERFORMERS

Presentation Performance for Judges (Performance, Orderly, Crowd Appeal, Timeliness) - 40 points
Originality (Creativitiy, Speical Effects) - 20 points
Precision (Line Formation, In Step, Spacing)
appearance (Costumes/Uniforms) - 20 points




GRAND PARADE ROUTE/INFO

Registration: Findlay Rd. off Route 20 by the Woodville Fire Station (Begins at 10am )
   
Line-up Line-up sites are pre-determined by the committee
 

* Grand, Brookside , Sunset, Henry, High, South, Lueke, & Cherry(bridge)

   
Parade Number You will receive your number at the registration booth
  * Bring tape/duck tape to adhere your number to your entry
  *Place number on the right-hand side of your entry
  *Make sure the number is clearly visible for the judges to easily identify
   
Judges Stand Judges stand will be located on College Ave. near the Youth Center
   
Performers You will be allotted 1 minute and 30 seconds to perform in front of the judging stand
  *Points will be deducted for going over the allotted time frame.
  *Music (tape/cd) is your responsibility
   
Spectators Please use Erie St. & College Ave. to enjoy our parade.
  Cherry St. (bridge) & all other roads used in line-up will be closed off; no spectators.
  *This allows parade staff to easily move throughout the parade line-up
  *This also will ensure the safety of our parade spectators.
   
Awards/Prizes Winners will be announced at the Grand Stage (on the fair grounds) 30min. after the parade.


Parade Route

      1. Begins at the corner Erie St. & Cherry St. at the bottom of the bridge.
      2. West on Erie to Pemberville Rd. (Rt.#105)
      3. Right on Pemberville Rd. to College Ave.
      4. Right on College Ave.
      5. Continues east on College Ave.
      6. Ends at College Ave. & Perry St .

Parade staff will direct parade participants down Walnut, to Erie & back up Cherry St. (Bridge)
